Before you start
You don’t need to be a mechanic. Just give the AI the kind of info a good mechanic would ask for.
Use simple words for the noise. For example “clunk”, “hum”, “whistle” or “squeak”.
Say where it feels like it comes from. Front or rear, left or right, engine, “under the car”, dashboard, etc.
Mention what you’re doing when it happens. Braking, turning, accelerating, hitting bumps, highway speed, cold start, rain, etc.
🎚 Fill the sliders honestly: how loud it feels and how serious it seems to you.
🎧 Add a short recording if you can: a few seconds with no music or talking is enough.
📝 Don’t stress about “correct” terms: your own words are fine — the AI will work with that.
Important safety note
MyAutoSound gives general guidance only. It is not a guaranteed diagnosis or professional advice. Do not use while driving. Attempt repairs only if you are qualified, or ask a professional to do them. Learn more .
Skip Step 1?
Skipping Step 1 may reduce accuracy. We recommend adding at least a short description or an audio sample. You can still proceed if you prefer.
In 3 simple steps
MyAutoSound doesn’t fix the car for you, but it gives you clarity: a better description of the noise, likely causes, and how to talk about it with a professional.
Tell the AI when it happens (speed, braking, turning, weather) or upload a short audio recording of the noise.
The AI summarizes what’s most likely, suggests what to check first and explains it in simple language (no mechanic slang).
Use your diagnosis PDF, 3D view and AI summary to explain the problem faster and ask better questions, so you feel less lost during the visit.

Example conversation with the AI
You
I hear a “clunk clunk” when I brake at low speed, mostly in the front left. Is that urgent?
AI mechanic
It could be something like a loose caliper bolt, worn suspension bushing or a brake pad shifting. It can be safety-related, so I’d avoid delaying it too long.
AI mechanic
I’ll give you: • 2–3 possible causes • What to tell your mechanic • What’s usually checked first
